Music on Sea - Childrens activities

At Music on Sea we provide music education and opportunities for those aged 5 to 18 in Southend. This can be in through Southend schools or the wider community.

We offer a range of services for students directly.

Individual Lessons

We offer individual lessons in most Southend schools. Lessons are arranged via school, not directly with us. Ask your school office about lessons offered.

Instrument hire

We hire a range of instruments to Southend students. These include flutes, clarinets, guitars, trumpets and more. Instrument hire is £30 per term (discounts available). For more information visit the instrument hire page of our website.

Ensembles/Groups

We have many different ensembles taking place out of school. These cover a range of instruments, styles and abilities. These allow students to play alongside others. Performance opportunities are offered to all ensembles. For more information visit the ensembles page of our website.

Events

We provide opportunities for students to perform at events. All our ensembles and Southend schools are given performance opportunities. We also sign post partner events. For information about upcoming events visit the events page of our website.

Music on Sea is the Music Education Hub for Southend-on-Sea, funded by Arts Council England.
