Description

What is Raw Learning?

Raw Learning is an alternative provision set in nature where there are opportunities for all children to develop an appreciation and understanding of the wonders of our natural environment through a process of discovery and exploration.

We believe everybody should have regular, long-term access to a woodland or natural environment which provides them with inspirational and challenging outdoor learning opportunities. The children that come to Raw Learning are nearly always neurodivergent, or suspected, and whose school-based anxiety is preventing them from engaging with educational activities. The longer the anxiety has existed, the greater the need to identify and support their differences and help them gain confidence again. We offer up to 49% of the child's education.

We have inspirational spaces designed to encourage creativity. By providing a flexible and adaptable environment, each child re-engages from their own starting point and learns to thrive.

What we do:

We create well-being as part of a therapeutic forest school for diagnosed or suspected neurodivergent children age 5 to 16.

We offer screening of neurodivergent differences in order to support the individual and understand the challenges such as Dyslexia, ADHD and Dyspraxia.

We train the community to understand neurodiversity and its benefits to society as a whole and run projects which meet the needs of neurodivergent children.
