Covering over 13 hectares, Hockley Woods are the largest remaining are of the wild wood which covered Essex after the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago. There is a car park just off the Main Road and a walk leaflet is available from the Council offices showing marked walks. Various seasonal events take place throughout the year, such as Easter Egg Hunts and Fun days. Please call or visit the website for more details.
