Based in the heart of Southend on Sea, Project 49 is an award winning, prosperous, and innovative day opportunity for adults with learning disabilities. Project 49 can accept people from 18+ years and can now extend the offer of service to those within Essex.
Project 49 focuses on the connection of community to improve people’s independence, health, wellbeing, and progression. Project 49 collaboratively works with organisations to showcase the high standards and achievements of the service and the abilities of those who attend.
Project 49 supports adults to develop to the best of their ability while taking positive risks to fulfil and achieve their success. We offer a range of activities to support adults to learn, challenge and exceed the boundaries placed on individual disabilities.
An emphasis of independence is forefront within the incredible care and support that is offered through Project 49. Adults are recognised for the skills and abilities they hold and encouraged to attain their goals to increase self-fulfilment.
Project 49 promotes the health and wellbeing of all those involved within the service by being a gold healthy eating advocate and offering a range of volunteer lead opportunities. We aim to increase confidence in daily living tasks by expanding food choices, introducing alternative sports, and continuously increasing psychical activity.
