Locally, businesses, services and community groups are working in partnership with Southend-on-Sea City Council to make Southend-on-Sea a 'Dementia Friendly' city where people affected by dementia feel confident knowing they can live their lives with access to the services and support they need to fully participate in community life
Nationally, the Dementia Action Alliance is a movement for social change made up of organisations from the public, private and charitable sectors committed to transforming the quality of life of people living with dementia in the UK and the millions who care for them.
