Focal Point Gallery is South Essex’s only dedicated contemporary art gallery, based in Southend-on-Sea and open to all. Offering an exciting programme of largely free workshops, talks, outdoor film screenings and offsite projects, it also presents three major exhibitions a year featuring both international and local artists. The gallery’s aim is to inspire curiosity through producing and presenting thought-provoking art made today. Find us just behind Southend High Street in the Forum building and see what you can discover.

We operate a relaxed time every Thursday and Sunday between 11 and 12pm when the exhibition is open specifically for visitors with autism, Tourettes Sydrome or anyone who may benefit from a relaxed attitude towards movement and noise making. Amendments to lighting and sound will also be made.
