South East Essex Type 1 Diabetes Family Group
This group has been set up to arrange and advertise events for Type 1 children and their families in the South East Essex Area. Our aim will be to arrange events that appeal to all ages.
We are hoping this will enable families who are on the Type 1 journey to connect with others in their local area and to attend the events that we arrange. There's nothing better than connecting with people that share a common experience with you.
We are officially registered as a support group with Diabetes UK. This group is run by volunteers who either have T1 ourselves or have children who do.
Please note we are not able or qualified to provide medical advice. You should always direct any questions of this nature to your Specialist Diabetic Nurse Team, who will be able to assist you.
If you would like to be involved in helping to arrange events or have an idea, please let us know. The more the merrier.
