Southend's Local Offer:
The Local Offer sets out, in one place, the support and provision that is available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. It enables children and young people and their families to make informed choices about support and provision and is used to review and develop provision in Southend. The Local Offer includes:
- universal services such as schools and doctors
- targeted services for children/ young people with SEND who need short-term support that is over and above that provided by universal services
- specialised services for children and young people with SEND who require specialist and long term support.
