You and your family may be housed in Southend in temporary accommodation (hostels, hotels, B&Bs or refuge) after you have presented as homeless to your Housing Department. If you have come from outside of the Southend area, and are pregnant or have children under the age of 5, you will be supported by the Specialist Health Visitors for Homeless Families.
There are two Specialist Health Visitors – Tracey Jones and Sharon Reeve. We can support you and your family while you are in temporary accommodation in Southend – our role is to provide advice about the local area, monitor your child's health, growth and development and signpost you to other local services that you may need. You can contact us on 01702 534911.
