Support at Home
Welcome to our new website. You may have previously known us as ‘Southend Information Point (SHIP)'. Don’t worry we have all the same information as the old site.
If you are having difficulty managing tasks at home you may need to try new ways of doing everyday things that help you to stay independent. You may need help with personal care including washing and dressing, help to use alternative ways of shopping, equipment to make everyday life easier or help to become more involved in your local community. These things can help to improve your quality of life and enable you to do things that you've never done before.
On this page you will find information and advice, details of local organisations that can help you to continue to enjoy independence in your own home, including details of care services, information about equipment and adaptations to your home, and organisations that can support your physical and mental health and well-being.
Click the button on the left to "View all services" and find out about the support and help available to you including: aids and equipment to make life easier, gardeners, cleaners and shopping delivery services, how to get training to support independent living and much more!
If you would like an assessment of your needs please telephone Southend Adult Social Care on 01702 215008 Option 1.
