Southchurch Hall Museum & Gardens

Southchurch Gardens is a small public park covering approximately 5 acres. Features include various ponds and gardens and the magnificent Southchurch Hall. Originally a medieval moated manor house, it is now a museum which attracts 18,000 visitors a year. New museum shops and cafe facilities are soon to be added. The site is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Various activities take place throughout the year and the site also caters for wedding ceremonies and educational visits. - The Hall is open to the public: Tuesdays-Saturdays 10am-3.30pm; Sundays 11am-3.30pm. During term time the Hall may be host school groups in the mornings. The exhibition room and refreshments will be available to all visitors but if you are travelling a distance please call ahead to avoid a delay in accessing the great hall.
