Who to contact
All customers will be contacted daily to monitor whether they have any COVID-19 symptoms and whether they require support to pay bills, get shopping or medication. Staff will be able to offer this support, which is co-ordinated daily by staff, for any customer who is at significant high risk of COVID-19, or those who are required to self isolate. Staff will not be offering face to face contact during this time to reduce the risk of cross infection and to maintain staff safety. All customers have access to either their Care and Support Worker’s mobile number (Floating Support) or the on call number (for those living at The Orchards and Ford House) so that they can remain in communication and express and support requirements.
Metropolitan offer a tiered level of supported housing services within Southend with Floating Support being offered to those who live within the Southend Borough, who have a learning disabilty and who receive a service from Adult Social Care. Floating Support is provided in the customer's home and can be anything from support with correspondence, form filling, dealing with post, applying for benefits, budgeting, sign posting, shopping, and more.
