About Kooth
Kooth is a transformational digital mental health support service. It gives children and young people easy access to an online community of peers and a team of experienced counsellors. Access is free of the typical barriers to support: no waiting lists, no thresholds, no cost and complete anonymity. Launched in 2004 and accredited by the BACP, more than 1,500 children and young people across the country login to Kooth every day. They can chat to one of the online team, use the magazine and discussion board or try out some of the therapeutic activities online.
For Commissioners
XenZone has partnered with CCGs, local authorities and Councils since 2004 to provide transformational and scalable online counselling services through Kooth.
Available in more than 100 CCG areas including Southend on Sea, and to 40% of all 11-18 year olds in England, the service offers easily accessible mental health support to young people, irrespective of where they are on a spectrum of mild, moderate or complex need.
Kooth is anonymous and free to use, making it a powerful early intervention and prevention treatment resource which young people are keen to use: more than 95% of end of session questionnaires show young people would recommend Kooth to a friend. www.Kooth.com
