Various sessions for adulta and children run throughout the term time. Please visit the website for an up-to-date Newsletter detailing current and upcoming courses, or alternatively contact the school. Limited creche places are available and must be booked in advance. Some sessions are only available to parents of pupils attending Barons Court Primary School or nursery, other sessions are open to all. Tuesday 9.15-11.15am ~ Positive Steps Programme (Starting Tuesday 8th September)
This is a programme designed to support adults in building the skills and confidence to achieve success in the working environment. This course is free and on Tuesday 8th September, as part of the programme, we are welcoming a specialist careers advisor into CLIC to help answer any questions you may have regarding any career changes you may be considering. A new year – a new you!
Wednesday 9.15-11.15am ~ Paediatric First Aid (Starting 16th September for 6 weeks)
If you are wanting to achieve a certificate in Paediatric First Aid then this is the course for you! Adults will have the opportunity to renew or gain their first aid certificate through learning first aid skills. This is a free course lasting for 6 weeks – hurry places are limited and are going fast!
Wednesday 1.15-3.15pm ~ Maths (Starting 9th September)
Do you want to be more confident in mathematics and arithmetic? Come along to this course if you want to gain or renew a qualification in maths. Work at your own pace and with other parents – this course runs throughout the year and is a great opportunity to develop mathematical skills.
Thursday 9.15-11.15am ~ ESOL (Communication for life courses – supporting parents from other countries) (Starting 10th September)
Do you want to learn English? Our course provides you with this opportunity. This is an annual course and complete beginners are welcome. Please book you place as soon as possible as this isn’t a drop-in session.
Friday 9.15-11.15am ~ English (Starting 11th September)
Do you want to be more confident in reading and writing? Come along to this course if you want to gain or renew a qualification in English. Work at your own pace and with other parents – this course runs throughout the year and is a great opportunity to develop your literacy skills.
Wednesday 9.15-11.15am ~ Computing (Starting 11th November for 6 weeks)
This course will help develop computing skills with a particular focus on the use of computers and the Internet. This course is designed to develop both your own skills and will also help you in supporting your child using a computer and the Internet safely. Don’t wait to book your place as numbers are limited to 10 and are likely to fill quickly.
Thursday 1.15-3.15pm ~ Accountancy(Starting 5th November for 6 weeks)
We are also pleased to confirm that we will be holding a 6 week course in accountancy. This will help develop skills in accountancy and would be suitable to anyone interested in the world of finance. Advertising to the local community will be published soon – so book your place early as this course is likely to be extremely popular.
