Livewell Southend

Radish Community Cookery

My name is Clare, I am a community cookery leader working in and around Southend and Castle Point. My projects are based on developing practical cookery skills to give confidence in cooking, save money on food bills and give an understanding of healthy eating. I work with a wide range of people and abilities.

My latest projects include the Bespoke Healthy Living course (with practical cookery) for SEND students at Southend Adult Community College; a practical cookery course with young people at the Yellow Door Youth Project; Man With A Pan cookery groups for men 65+ and working with residents of sheltered accommodation using slow cookers.

I have run courses for the following organisations: Southend City Council (Early Intervention Family Unit and Youth Teams); South Essex Homes; Southend Adult Community College; Castle Point and Rochford Council; Carers Choice; Sanctuary Housing; SOS Rape Crisis; Milton Community Partnership; Project 49 and HARP.
