Craftable
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, and because most of us fall within the vulnerable criteria, we are temporarily closed. However Jen is still taking enquiries if you are interested in coming along once we reopen.
Stay safe and well, and hope to hear from you soon.
We help adults with long-term physical or mental health issues who live within the Borough of Southend. We provide a safe, welcoming and friendly space for people who find it hard to socialise due to their health. Members come to make things, learn new crafts and have fun. We help to fight the social isolation that often accompanies disability and long-term health conditions, and specialise in invisible disability. We follow the social model of disability.
We know how daunting it can be to join a new group for the first time if you don't know anyone there, so Jen is happy to meet up for a coffee and a chat before you attend your first session. The initial session is free, carers are welcome and we suggest bringing a project from home so that you are comfortable.
All refreshments are included within the membership fee.
