Prevent Duty
The Prevent duty supports the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act to ensure there is consistent delivery throughout authorities and educational settings, enhance efforts to prevent terrorism, respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and dissuade people from travelling to Syria and Iraq.
Please see the related documents for more information.
If you are concerned about someone becoming radicalised please report to the local safeguarding board. Referrals may be taken to a Channel Panel which is a partnership approach to protecting vulnerable people from being drawn into terrorism.
