Have your Say: Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council want to hear what you think of pharmacy services across the borough, to help us develop services in the future.
Your views will help inform a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) which will look at health needs in Southend-on-Sea, the level and accessibility of pharmacy services and how these will be maintained and developed.
The Southend Health and Wellbeing Board have a statutory duty to publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment every three years, under the NHS (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013. The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment is a report of the current needs for pharmaceutical services. It is used to identify any gaps in current services or improvements that could be made.
The council has been delegated responsibility from the Southend Health and Wellbeing Board to undertake the assessment and have asked Soar Beyond Ltd, a pharmacist services consultancy, to facilitate the process and provide expertise on undertaking the assessment. We want to make sure that residents in Southend-on-Sea can access pharmaceutical services easily and that they are happy with the service they receive.
If you are a resident of the borough of Southend-on-Sea, we would be grateful if you could answer some questions about your own experience and views. The questionnaire should take no longer than five minutes to complete and anyone who uses local pharmaceutical services is invited to comment. The information in the questionnaire you provide is confidential. Please be honest with your answers so we can accurately assess areas where pharmacies are already performing well and areas that need improvement.
