SEND The Right Message Charity have partnered with Indirock to provide work experience opportunities for young people aged 14 to 25 with disabilities, or who are neurodivergent.
The Indirock volunteering/work experience programme aims to train, support, and help young people enter future paid employment with us or other employers.
This programme will help build knowledge and confidence for future job opportunities and relevance for a CV. It is available to young people aged 14 to 25 who are suspected or diagnosed with disabilities or who are neurodivergent, whose parent carers are registered with SEND the Right Message Charity.
During their work experience and volunteering, a staff member from Indirock will support the young person with the work. They will give appropriate instructions before, during, and supervising while operating machinery or equipment.
Parents are welcome to stay and support their young person; alternatively, you can leave them for the session with the Indirock team, but only if they are comfortable and happy about this. The Indirock coffee shop is available at the Bouldering Centre, where you can wait if that is more appropriate.
- Dates available: The first session is bookable, and a further 1 to 2 sessions will be available after a review with the Indirock Team.
- Times:
- 10 am to 1 pm - 2 spaces are available
- 1 pm to 4 pm - 2 spaces are available.
- Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Summer Holidays
