Southend-on-Sea City Council are consulting on a revised home to school travel assistance policy for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We are updating our Home to School Travel Assistance Policy to align with new Department for Education guidelines.
The consultation period is from 2 December 2024 to 31 January 2025. You can view the draft travel assistance policy and further details on Your Say Southend.
You can share your views:
- through the survey on Your Say Southend
- at a day-time online drop-in session on Wednesdays between 12pm to 1pm. Sessions run weekly between 4 December 2024 and 29 January 2025, excluding 25 December and 1 January. Click this Teams link to join a meeting.
- at an evening online drop-in session on Wednesday 18 December (6pm to 7pm), Wednesday 8 January 2025 (7pm to 8pm), Tuesday 14 January (6pm to 7pm), Thursday 23 January 2025 (7pm to 8pm) and Monday 27 January 2025 (6pm to7pm). Click this Teams link to join a meeting.
