Southend-on-Sea City Council congratulates Southend Youth Council on their outstanding achievement in being shortlisted for the Community Engagement category of The MJ Achievement Awards 2025.
Southend City Youth Council have been working for the past 12 months on a wonderful project for Neurodivergent young people, their families and professionals who work with them. On Thursday 27 March, they had the successful launch of the pack to professionals across youth services and in schools.
The pack includes their personal experiences, strategies and resources for managing school stress, a game to prompt important conversations and a selection of interactive activities designed to develop our understanding of how our brains work!
The project is a finalist for a prestigious Management Journal Achievement Award for Community Engagement! This well-deserved recognition highlights the remarkable efforts of Southend Youth Council, whose innovative support pack, created by and for neurodivergent young people, provides invaluable guidance to those supporting neurodivergent individuals in their lives. The resource is completely free and you can download it now.
