COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are available at a drop-in clinic at the CIvic Centre in January 2024.
Eligible members of the public are urged to come forward and have their vaccines to help keep them safe and well this winter.
Those currently eligible include people aged 65 and over, those with certain health conditions or who are pregnant, health and social care workers, carers and close contacts of vulnerable people.
COVID-19 and flu vaccines are available at a walk-in clinic at Southend Civic Centre on Wednesday 17th January, between 10:00am and 3:00pm. There is no need to book – just walk-in to the Charter House restaurant in the Civic Centre on the day.
The experienced vaccination team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) has delivered more than 1.6 million COVID-19 vaccinations since 2021.
A spokesperson for EPUT’s Vaccination and Immunisation service, said: “The emergence of a new variant last autumn has shown us that COVID-19 is very much still with us. This along with flu, means we could be looking at a difficult winter so I urge you to do all you can to protect yourself.
“Vaccines are safe and effective, and it only takes a few minutes to drop by and get yours. If you’ve aren’t sure about getting your vaccine for any reason at all, I encourage you to come and speak to the team at one of our clinics. They will be happy to talk through any questions or concerns you have.”
