Waivers and Appeals
If a person disagrees with their financial assessment, they can request a reassessment of their finances at any time.
A waiver which reduces or removes the assessed contribution may be considered in exceptional circumstances for example if incurring the full assessed contribution would cause severe financial hardship or the individuals health would be put at serious risk.
Waivers will only apply to non-residential care services and related financial assessments.
Waivers will be considered and approved by the Director of Operations. All waivers will be documented and reviewed at an agreed frequency.
