South Essex Homes was formed in 2005. As the Arm's Length Management Organisation for Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, our initial aims were to provide a high quality housing service and deliver a large programme of major improvements to tenants' homes.
We have now improved the majority of Council housing in Southend so that it meets the Decent Homes Standard, and the rest of the improvement works will continue over the next few years. Over time, South Essex Homes has evolved. We have worked hard to improve our services, increase satisfaction and residents are very much at the heart of our business.
