Sutton House Academy (PLT Southend)

Sutton House– PLT Southend Campus, is a specialist provision for students with social, emotional and mental health issues which often present as behaviour difficulties. Our students have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) that identifies Sutton House as their named provision. We have ambition and a clear vision, and offer “a place where all children and young people can thrive, learn and achieve their best.” Sutton House is able to offer bespoke a package of education that enables achievement.

We can offer a range of programmes and support that Includes:

  • Small Group Learning with high adult support
  • Individual Support Plans
  • An enrichment programme
  • 1:1 support for reading, writing, spelling and Maths Number skills if appropriate (significantly below age related)
  • Receptive and expressive language programmes if appropriate. (Identified as a Need)
  • 1:1 Mentoring – supporting social and emotional development
  • Counselling from an outside agency if identified as a need
  • Appropriate and achievable Vocational skills
  • Offsite Development opportunities
  • Parent support
