University of Essex (Southend Campus) - Early years and education

We opened our Southend Campus in 2007. Four of our departments run courses at Southend and our students benefit from modern lecture rooms, rehearsal studios with panoramic sea views and high-tech medical skills labs. The Forum opened in September 2013 and is a joint partnership between Southend Borough Council, South Essex College and our University. Our Southend Campus is in the heart of Southend-on-Sea, just off the town's High Street and adjacent to Southend Central station.
