School and college open events

Young people who are thinking about going to onto college or to a school sixth form, are encouraged to visit settings first.

This applies to those with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) too. Read about key dates for transition planning for those with EHCPs here.

Sixth form school open events

Southend schools that provide sixth form and post-16 education are holding information events up until early December. These events are for prospective students and their parent carers. You can find the list of schools, dates and times here.

Southend YMCA Community School are holding a 6th form open event on Friday 21 November 2025, 5pm to 7pm. This provision is for 16 to 19 year olds with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

College open events
