SEND Operations Group
The SEND Operations Group (SENDOPs) is an operational meeting of the Southend SEND Strategic Partnership Board (SSSPB).
SENDOPs oversees and supports the infrastructure that helps partners work together to effectively:
- plan
- monitor
- develop and
- maintain effective SEND provision in the local area
SENDOPs considers the impact of support and service and directs action so that children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND):
- make good progress
- achieve outcomes that prepare them for adulthood from the earliest possible opportunity
- along with their families, have access as early as possible to high quality local provision, that meets their needs
The meeting Chair is the Head of SEND.
Members of the group are representatives from Southend SEND Partnership organisations and have been selected due to their specific role.
The contracted Parent Carer Forum (Southend SEND Independent Forum), is also represented on the group.
The SENDOPs group meets at least twice per school term. It reports directly to the Southend SEND Strategic Partnership Board (SSSPB).
