Additional support for a few children and young people at school

A few children may need specialist support and an Education, Health and Care needs assessment (EHCNA) to find out if special educational provision is needed.

Whilst this process takes place, support continues through the universal and targeted levels.

A few children may need an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to meet these specialist needs. The plan can be ceased if progress is made, and it is decided that needs can be met by the school at the universal and targeted levels.
