Male health
Cancer of the testicle is one of the less common cancers and tends to mostly affect men between 15 and 49 years of age. Typical symptoms are a painless swelling or lump in one of the testicles, or any change in shape or texture of the testicles. It's important to be aware of what feels normal for you. Get to know your body and see a GP if you notice any changes. https://itsinthebag.org.uk/ ball-checking/why-check
Smoking
Any smoker who lives or works in the City of Southend-on-Sea is eligible to sign up for Stop Smoking Support. Smokers are encouraged to sign up if they are:
- ready
- motivated
- committed to quit
Smokers are three times more likely to stop smoking with the right support, medication or vape kit. A lone quitter with no support has about a 3% chance of success, so don’t delay and plan your quit today. Once you reach 28 days of being smoke-free, you are four times more likely to quit for good.
