Maths difficulties
This relates to difficulties with certain areas of maths, such as:
- number facts
- mental recall
- difficulty working through maths problems
You can expect the teacher within the classroom to make changes to meet needs for every child or young person, for example:
- use of practical resources such as cubes
- number lines
- diagrams
- number fact charts
- timetables charts
- use of graph paper to help with lining up written work
- use of calculators when the focus is not mental maths
- scribing for the child or young person
