Physical difficulties
You can expect the teacher within the classroom to make changes to meet needs for every child or young person.
For example:
- use of resources such as a writing slope or modified scissors
- use of software and apps to reduce the amount of writing the student needs to do
The education setting will complete a risk assessment if there are mobility difficulties, or the pupil uses a wheelchair.
Support may be given by Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy support services.
